1. Identifying qualified researchers:
A: Partner institutes with an interest in generating
research or seminar projects are invited to
submit a proposal to the secretariat immediately.
B: In parallel with the brainstorming sessions of
the regional curatorial and exhibition projects,
the secretariat will locate qualified researchers.
C: At the same time, the secretariat will produce
a brochure describing this activity and will post
the information, along with an application form,
on the website. This call is directed to
any interested researchers in the public at large
in the region.
2. The secretariat will set up a committee consisting of
the following members:
A: A representative from the RF
B: A representative from the administrator
C: Representatives from the partner art institutes
D: A representative from the Sirinthorn Anthropology
Centre, Bangkok (tentative)
3. Proposals should contain the following information:
A: Research/Seminar project title
B: Research/Seminar project description
C: Market or public awareness
D: Timeframe
E: Budget
F: Written language
G: Project personnel
Proposals should arrive at the secretariat by the 30th
of November 2006.
4. Copies of all application forms will be posted to
the committee which will then select five proposals
to be funded.
5. All partner institutes and applicants will be notified
of the names of the recipients of the Research/Seminar
Awards by the 31st of December 2006.
6. Funds will be transferred directly to the recipients.
The secretariat will transfer 60% in January 2007.
The remaining 40% will be forwarded in October 2007.
7. Each of the five award recipients must submit two
copies of their completed research by the end of
the Mekong Arts and Culture Project (to be confirmed).
One copy is for the secretariat; the other will be
forwarded to the RF.
